Laura Dwyer- President

Year: Senior

Major: Accounting with a concentration in marketing

Campus Involvement: Alpha Kappa Psi – Professional Business Fraternity, Career Assistant (SOM Career Services), MGMT 111 Mentor, Accounting 211 TA

Favorite part of Scholars: The sense of community you get from day one. Upon entering Scholars, you are immediately surrounded by a large group of people with diverse interests and hobbies, yet ultimately have the same goal of becoming leaders throughout the Binghamton community.

What have you crossed off your bucket list? Traveling to Asia – I’ve been to Japan and I’ll be going to China in the winter!

What was your dream job growing up? Teacher, Author, Singer, Doctor, Interior Designer, Professional Soccer Player, Physical Therapist – It changed almost every week.

Jessica Bracco- Internal Vice President

Year: Junior

Major: Accounting

Hometown: Commack, NY

Campus Involvement: Discovery Advisor, Secretary of Alpha Kappa Psi

Favorite part of Scholars: I love being part of a motivated group of students who are always striving to help each other grow and become more involved within the BU community. My favorite individual aspect so far was the Sophomore Case Competition and city visit.

If you were a dog, what breed would you be? I would be an Australian Shepard because dogs of that breed are full of energy and protective of those they care about. However, my favorite dog breed is the English Bulldog, due to its abundance of wrinkles.

What fad do you wish would come back? I wish Gauchos would make a comeback because they were the comfiest pair of pants, which looked like a skirt, that I have ever worn.

Nate Oliver- External Vice President

What is your favorite family tradition? Game of Monopoly every Christmas night (I have won 4 of 5)

Chris DiPaola- Vice President of Finance

Favorite part of Scholars: It is totally student run, and that we have the ability to create the success of the program, not just partake in it.

Who would you pick to play you in a movie version of your life? Tom Cruise (the young Tom Cruise of course)

Favorite part of Scholars: I love being a part of the community and also watching Scholars turn ideas into successful events and programs.

What is your favorite family traditions? We have a leftover lunch the day after Thanksgiving every year – it’s even better than the real day.

What is something you’ve crossed off your bucket list? White water rafting…I fell out of the raft!
